Girls, Greece is my fave since two years when I visited stunning Santorini for the first time! Yes, I would say it really is the most beautiful place for a holiday or even your honeymoon in Europe at the moment. I still love France to the moon and back but I think Greece really caught up a lot in the last decades and now overtook Spain and Italy for example.
As in Santorini I stayed at a beautiful Katikies Resort again – this time the Katikies Mykonos. The properties really have an outstanding standard when it comes to luxury facilities, service and breathtaking atmosphere. And by the way: the Katikies Mykonos was one of the most #instagramable resorts EVER!
Nestled in a gorgeous setting, above the sun kissed beach of Agios Ioannis in Mykonos, Katikies Mykonos, member of Leading Hotels of the World, captures the essence of chic seaside living only a breath away from the shimmering sea. That is why every room has an amazing sea view and most of the suits a little private jacuzzi or even a real big swimming pool. At Santorini so many of you asked me which room number we stayed in – so at Mykonos we had Suite 62. If you want to enjoy #viewgoals high above the ocean from your jacuzzi, that’s the room to book!
And as always I want to share my personal PINK favorites about the hotel:
1. First things first: FOOD! Katikies Mykonos offers salty French Toast for breakfast – I am addicted to them. Plus the sushi chef is a god! Try the Katikies Signature Roll or even Sushi with real gold!
2. There is always a relaxed and very nice sound in the property and at the big pool area made by a special DJane. From time to time she loves to add some Hip Hop.
3. The stuff is extraordinary friendly. When we left they stood in a row and waved. I had tears in my eyes!
About Mykonos in general: it is always a good idea to rent a car as it is super cheap (100 Euros for 3 days). Little Venice, the famous Windmills of Kato Milli and Mykonos Town are only a 12 Minutes drive away from the Katikies Mykonos Hotel. In my opinion Mykonos town is even more pretty then Oia at Santorini as it has more of those super cute and small alleyways. Behind every corner you can find a new lovely spot and the prettiest flowers. I love this combination of white walls and PINK flowers.
And now let’s talk about the cats of Mykonos – this really made me so happy. The island is full of cute and more important healthy cats! Everybody is friendly with the animals especially the locals give fresh fish to them and care. You know me – I am suffering too when animals suffer so this was such a good feeling! And pay attention – these cats are so gentle they will follow you ever step! Can I take them with me? ALL of them!
Besides Mykonos town the other highlight of the island are the lovely wind mills of Kato Mili. For wandering around make sure to wear your favorite sports wear by 21RUN and discover them in style!
So this was another love letter to Greece! Hope to be back in a sec!
