The PINK MACARON Sail Croatia

Last week a dream of mine came true: I got the chance to go on a sailing trip to Croatia! Croatia is on my bucket list for the longest, and the best way to explore the wonderful Adriatic coastline and its islands is by sailing boat for sure.

We started our journey in Split and discovered the beautiful islands of the Central Dalmatian archipelago, where each of the islands truly has its own characteristics, history and the cutest marinas and unique little towns:

Island of Brač

Our first stop after departing from Split was Milna on the Island of Brač, the largest of the Dalmatian islands. This village and harbor was one of my favorites of the whole trip – the most charming, historical town of the early 16th century, tiny streets and Baroque architecture, and the loveliest sunrise above the roofs of the old town you can enjoy from your boat.

Island of Hvar

We spent two nights in Palmižana, a tiny, car-free island just a short taxi boat ride from the town of Hvar. I highly recommend staying here and doing day trips to Hvar, as there is so much to see and discover on Hvar but you will love the quiet and peaceful marina of Palmižana. And the taxi boat rides are so much fun!! For some relaxed hours, you will find the coolest beach clubs on Palmižana and the best grilled seafood and meat at the restaurant Meneghello with stunning sea views.

Fun Fact: Hvar is reckoned among the top ten most beautiful islands on the Earth and it has the largest amount of annual sunshine! On the island of Hvar, we visited Stari Grad and the town of Hvar, which both are impressive historical towns with lots of interesting sights. Make sure to visit the City Fortress of Hvar for the most amazing views of Hvar, the ocean and the Pakleni Islands – even more impressive when Bura is rolling in 😉

Island of Vis

Vis was on for next two nights! First, we stayed at Komiža where you can find the cutest little beaches and streets to discover. Our second night was in Vis town, a very special place: One of my all time favorite movies MAMMA MIA was filmed here! So we of course had to do a special MAMMA MIA tour to see all the places we know from the movie. Best thing: the tour guides literally are actors of the movie and will tell you a lot of fun facts and behind the scenes stories!

Island of Šolta

Our very last stop: the Island of Šolta. This island has a lot of beautiful beaches to offer and cute little bars to enjoy your sundowner. We also had lunch at the most stunning hotel, Martinis Marchi – a castle turned into a hotel which couldn’t be more stunning! Definitely have to come back to spend one night here!

Overall, Croatia was even more beautiful than I excepted and the adventure to visit it by sailing boat was one of the most fun, exciting and also relaxing and peaceful things I have done in my life. I will definitely come back – Dubrovnik, Zagreb (especially for Christmas time), Opatija and Rovinj are still on my bucket list! Btw for all who are interested in yacht rental, we found our boat Bella over Ban tours and you can directly check prices on their homepage – skipper, marinas and gas are extra.

Btw, as you may already noticed, I look a bit different… Why? This is the very first post with my very new hair thanks to KS Friseur! Lovely Summer did the best job to transform my chipmunk like highlights into the most gorgeous bronde. How do you like it?
