The PINK MACARON Outdoorsy

Ad/Anzeige

Sometimes, you don’t have to cross seven seas to find the most beautiful spots on earth and this is definitely true for our beautiful home, Bavaria! This summer I wanted to discover my own country as good as possible and therefore I wanted to share my favorite places for a stunning weekend getaway with you <3

Königssee

Königssee turned out to be my favorite lake in Bavaria for sure. It is nestled in between the high mountains, which makes it look like out of a movie scene. Best explored by boat and here you can also find THE Instagram hot spot in Germany: The natural pool on top of a waterfall. Beware, it really is quite dangerous to get there as ether is no official hiking route leading there and there did happened some accidents – this is also why the locals are a bit grumpy because of the “Influencer Becken”. So I don’t want to recommend going there (even if it makes a breathtaking picture spot) but make sure to visit Königssee!

Zauberwald

This region is just as Königsee in the region of Berchtesgadener Land. Here you can tick off three very nice attractions in a row: Ramsau, Hintersee and Klausbachtal, max 15 minutes drive between these. Ramsau is a gorgeous little Bavarian village and there is this lovely chapel in front of the mountains – too cute! Continue to Hintersee, another gorgeous Bavarian lake. From here also the hike through Klausbachtal starts, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the German Dolomites – including hanging bridge. The destination: the cutest little farmed mountain huts at Bindalm. The (btw nicest guys ever) farmer live here with their 20 cows and serve you homemade cheese and tales on top for free. Definitely worth the hike!

Eibsee

This lake is nestled in front of the highest mountain in Germany, the Zugspitze, so #viewgoals guaranteed! You can have a really nice and easy hike around the lake.

Ammersee

My favorite lake around Munich as there always are the most stunning sunrises and sunsets!!

Our essentials for every hiking trip is of course the matching travel pharmacy: Mosquito repellents, good sun protection and some plasters and tape as there will always happen something. We love to order these at Shop Apotheke as they have the best selection!
